Load Distribution Checker
Enter front/rear and left/right weights to see imbalance and quick correction guidance.
Switch to the 2-axle ökutæki mode to estimate front axle, rear axle, and side-to-side load share from load positions.
Important safety notes
What this verkfæri can do
How to use
- Choose “Front/Rear + Left/Right Inntak” for a quick balance check, or “Ökutæki Sniðmát” when you also want an axle-load estimate.
- Enter the weights first, then add ökutæki inntaks and load positions if needed.
- Yfirferð the front/rear gap, left/right gap, axle estimate, and warning badges.
- Use the reposition hints as a guide, then copy the niðurstaða or share the URL if needed.
Examples
Quick balance check
Front 320 kg / rear 280 kg / left 340 kg / right 260 kg
Front/rear difference 6.7%, left/right difference 13.3%. The page suggests moving about 20 kg rearward and 40 kg to the right.
2-axle ökutæki estimate
WB 4.2 m / support width 1.8 m / empty front 2200 kg / empty rear 1800 kg / 1000 kg load at 3.4 m from the front axle and 0.2 m to the right
Front axle 2390.5 kg, rear axle 2609.5 kg, estimated left/right 2388.9 kg / 2611.1 kg.
Glossary
Axle load
The load carried by the front axle or rear axle. Each ökutæki has its own allowed limit.
Wheelbase
The distance between the front axle center and the rear axle center. It is used for front/rear load transfer.
Support width
An approximate distance between the left and right support points, used for a simple side-to-side estimate.
Static estimate
A simplified estimate based only on the balance of forces at rest. It does not include dynamic transfer while driving.
Formulas
Front/rear difference % = |front - rear| / (front + rear) × 100Left/right difference % = |left - right| / (left + right) × 100Front axle contribution = load × (WB - x) / WBRear axle contribution = load × x / WBLeft contribution = load × ((TW / 2) - y) / TWRight contribution = load × ((TW / 2) + y) / TW
Algengar spurningar
If everything is 50/50, is it automatically safe?
No. The front/rear and left/right mode is only a quick balance check for the load share. You still need to confirm full ökutæki limits and legal compliance separately.
Can I use this niðurstaða as a legal compliance check?
No. Use measured values, the ökutæki label, legal limits, and local rules before making that decision.
Can I use it for 3-axle trucks or semi-trailers?
Not in the first version. This page is limited to a simple 2-axle estimate and does not model grouped axles or spacing rules.
Does it work with lb and ft?
Yes. The page supports kg / lb / t for weight display, m / ft for length display, and unit-tagged inntaks as well.
How are the reposition hints calculated?
In the quick mode, the page suggests moving half of the difference. In ökutæki mode, it uses a static moment equation to estimate the required shift distance.
Notice
- This page is a simple estimate for education and self-check. Ökutæki labels, regulations, and measured values always take priority.
- It does not model dynamic behavior, load securement, suspension, tires, road slope, or bridge restrictions.
- Sniðmát starter values are only placeholders. Replace them with actual ökutæki data before relying on the niðurstaða.
