By process

How to use

  1. Set units and container size.
  2. Enter area, coverage, coats, and dilution for each process.
  3. Check required quantities and adjust loss if needed.

Assumptions

  • Per process: area A, coverage C (area per volume), coats N, dilution D.
  • Dilution D is thinner added to paint. Example: 10% → 0.1 thinner per 1 paint.
  • If coverage is pre-dilution: pre = (A/C)×N, post = pre×(1+d).
  • If coverage is post-dilution: post = (A/C)×N, pre = post/(1+d).
  • If loss W is set: multiply pre/post by (1+w).
  • Can count is calculated by rounding up the pre-dilution total to container size.

Nontice

  • This result is an estimate. Required quantities vary with substrate condition, temperature, absorption, application method, and losses. Follow site conditions and manufacturer specifications.
