EOQ Calculator (Simple)
Enter annual demand, ordering cost, and holding cost to estimate economic order quantity (EOQ).
Includes MOQ and lot-size rounding, plus bulk calculation by pasting a table.
Required inputs
EOQWhat is holding cost rate?
It is the annual percentage estimate of carrying inventory (storage, insurance, capital cost, obsolescence, cycle count, etc.).
A common range is 10–30%/year, but it varies by product and storage conditions.
If unsure, start at 20% and adjust based on sensitivity.
Real-world constraints (optional)
MOQ / LotShow calculation assumptions
- Days per year: fixed at 365
- Average inventory: Q/2 assumption
คำถามที่พบบ่อย
I don't know the holding cost rate.
The rate is the annual estimate of inventory carrying cost. A typical range is 10–30%/year, but it varies by product and storage conditions. If unsure, start at 20% and adjust based on sensitivity.
What is lot size?
If you enter a lot size (e.g., 50 units), EOQ is rounded to that multiple. Choose round up, round, or round down (round up is recommended to avoid shortages).
How do I calculate multiple items?
Use the Bulk paste tab. Paste your spreadsheet table to calculate multiple SKUs at once, then download the results as CSV.
Will this prevent stockouts?
EOQ optimizes order quantity only. Reorder point (when to order) is separate—use safety stock and ROP if lead time and variability matter.
