How to use the workbook

Follow the ice from stock-in to use

Set up your reference lists before entering stock movements. Use separate stock-in and stock-out IDs so production, purchases, and usage remain distinguishable.

Step 1

Set up vessels and categories

Replace the sample vessel, supplier, ice maker, staff, species, and destination names with the names used in your operation.

Step 2

Record ice received

Enter produced or purchased ice on the inventory and purchases sheet. Keep the quantity, unit price, and amount with the same stock-in record.

Step 3

Record ice issued

Enter the issued quantity and its purpose on the usage and stock-out sheet. Add the vessel or destination and catch details where relevant.

Step 4

Review stock movements

Compare monthly stock-in and stock-out quantities using the dashboard fields. Check the recorded balance and cumulative balance against the underlying stock records.
