Egg placement

The step that starts the batch from silkworm eggs.

Hatching

The larvae emerge from the eggs.

Larval transfer

The hatched larvae are moved onto the rearing bed and the work begins.

Molt

The resting stage before and after a skin change. The tool tracks four molts.

Feeding

Mulberry leaves are fed during each larval stage.

Mounting

Mature larvae are moved to mounts so they can spin cocoons.

Cocoon harvest

Completed cocoons are collected.

The cocoons are dried for storage or shipment.
