Reorder ignition, heat-up, carbonization, sealing, and cooling to match the kiln run.
Charcoal Kiln Cycle Timer
Keep ignition, heat-up, carbonization, sealing, and cooling on one field-ready timeline.
Notifications stay on the device, and the draft is saved locally, so the timer still works when the connection is weak or unavailable.
Charcoal Kiln Cycle Timer
Adjust the phase list to match your kiln, then start the cycle at ignition.
The draft is always saved locally. Use the toggles below to control sharing and alerts.
What it does
Notifications stay on the device, and the timer keeps working without a connection.
Browser notifications and in-page toasts stay on the device and do not need a server.
Cycle details, notes, and logs are saved on this browser only.
The layout follows the active locale and is prepared for future language additions.
Default phases
The built-in sequence is a starting point. Edit the durations and notes to fit your kiln and fuel batch.
Build a stable fire bed and settle the kiln.
Raise the kiln temperature and watch the exhaust.
Track the carbonization window and vent changes.
Close the air inlets and switch to sealing steps.
Leave enough time for the kiln to cool safely.
Samples
Standard kiln run
Ignition 20 min / Heat-up 60 min / Carbonization 90 min / Sealing 30 min / Cooling 480 min
Total time is about 11 h 20 min. You can fire a local alert at every phase change.
Short test cycle
5 phases × 1 minute each
Five minutes end-to-end, ideal for save/restore and alert checks.
How to use

- Adjust the phase order and durations to match your kiln procedure.
- Start at ignition and follow the remaining time and schedule.
- Save a draft if you need to pick up the same run later.
FAQ
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page is loaded, the timer, draft, and in-page alerts work without a network connection.
Can I change the phase order?
Yes. Move phases up or down, duplicate them, or remove them before you start the run.
What happens if I reload the page?
The locally saved draft is restored, including the current cycle setup and timer position.
Will browser notifications always appear?
No. The browser must support notifications and the user must allow them. If not, the page still shows local toasts.
Are the timings exact?
They are only as accurate as the device clock and the phase durations you enter. Use kiln safety procedures first.
Notes
- This is an operational aid, not a safety guarantee or a quality certification.
- Follow your kiln's own procedure, safety rules, and environmental checks first.
- Clear the saved draft after use on a shared device.
- Decimal minutes accept both `.` and `,`.
- Browser notifications require permission; if they are denied, the timer still works.
