Pipe Dimensions Chart (Nominal ↔ OD/ID)

Select a standard set to display Nominal / OD / ID / thickness.

Keep source, standard name, and edition in view, then print or save the same table as PDF.

What this tool covers

  • Check Nominal / OD / ID / thickness for each standard set.
  • For schedule-based standards, values stay hidden until required conditions are selected.
  • Filter only by Nominal to keep lookup intent focused.
  • Print or save PDF while preserving the source bar context.

How to use

  1. Select a standard set.
  2. If required, select Schedule.
  3. Optionally filter by Nominal.
  4. Confirm source, standard name, edition, and condition in the source bar.
  5. Choose paper size and run Print / PDF.

Sample

Initial state (no standard selected)

Input

Standard set: not selected

Output

No numeric values are shown; empty-state guidance is displayed

Schedule-based lookup

Input

Standard set: ASME B36.10M (2022), Schedule: 40, Nominal search: NPS 2

Output

Only matching rows are shown, with standard/edition/condition in the source bar

Glossary

Nominal

A designated pipe size name, not always equal to measured dimensions.

OD

Outside Diameter.

ID

Inside Diameter. Displayed from source data or derived as OD−2t.

thickness

Wall thickness.

Schedule

Wall-thickness series. Different schedules change thickness and ID.

Formulas

  • ID (derived mode) = OD − 2 × thickness
  • Displayed values follow per-standard display precision rules.

FAQ

Why are values hidden before I choose a standard set?

To prevent reference mistakes. Values are shown only after all required conditions are fixed.

Is source information included in print output?

Yes. The source bar is included at the top of the print output.

What does the A4/Letter switch affect?

It controls print page size via @page size.

Does this tool load data from a server?

No. All standard data is embedded in HTML and processed in the browser.

Notes

  • Nominal size may differ from measured dimensions.
  • Always verify tolerances against original standards.
  • For derived ID display, visible precision can cause minor differences.
  • For final engineering decisions, always follow the latest official standard text.
