Conversion rules

To format safely, we clearly define the target lines.

Target line definition (recommended)
  • Allow leading whitespace (tab/space): ^\s*
  • Next is a bullet (• / - / −) or a number (digits + . / ))
  • Spaces after symbols/numbers are normalized to one ASCII space
Not converted
  • Hyphens inside text (e.g., A-B test)
  • Formulas or negative values (lines starting with - are treated as bullets)
Cautions
  • Lines starting with - are treated as bullet items.
  • Matching only at line start is the safest option.

Is indentation preserved?

Yes. Choose “Keep leading spaces (recommended)” to preserve input indentation. Use “Align” to standardize it.
